This blog is a stone of remembrance – a record of quiet and raging moments in the life of the our family through my eyes. It’s a chance for us to share our journey with others and to look back at what God has done.

The inspiration for the name of my blog came when life started getting busy with a new baby  and our journey to joining the Army at the ripe old age of 27.

Life was starting to have a lot of ups and downs and throughout all of it, the only constant was God. I felt like my life was made up of quiet moments that are like strolling through peaceful and beautiful gardens-moments of glory and raging moments; moments that were like the raging sea Jesus and the disciples were on thousands of years ago. The disciples were afraid for their very lives-and I relate to that feeling at times.

The thought of Jesus being the one who walks with me in the gardens of life (whether they are peaceful or stress-filled with anticipation) and in the raging and tumultuous seas of life-that He is the one who can calm those seas-those thoughts give me life. I cling to them because I simply cannot go throug life without Him. I need Jesus to be with me in my quiet moments and in my raging moments.

I won’t always tell you everything in this blog-sometimes there is a lot more going on beneath the surface waters that I’m not ready to share. But I think as you experience the times of calm and times of undulation you’ll sense and see how the Lord is directing us through the joys and sorrows we experience. Don’t look too deep though-I still like to play in shallow waters. My blog will still have random posts and plugs. But the big picture is easier to gather as you look back at the collective past.
